Laura Demery (ACA)

Laura Demery (ACA) has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Laura began their career as a Bank Teller at AIB in 2008, where they gained experience in banking services and customer transactions. Following this, Laura worked as an Assistant Manager at the Greystones Golf Club Restaurant from 2007 to 2012, where they were responsible for maintaining optimal customer service and coordinating club events and functions.

In 2012, Laura joined PwC as an Audit Associate, gradually progressing to the role of Manager. Laura'sresponsibilities included planning and implementing statutory audits for large clients in the asset management sector, managing teams, and providing coaching to junior staff. Laura also worked on the Financial Effectiveness Consulting Team, focusing on transforming the finance function of organizations through reporting, planning processes, and technological optimization.

In 2017, Laura became a Member of the Management Board at Loreto Abbey Dalkey. Throughout their tenure, they contributed to the strategic decision-making and overall management of the organization.

Laura then transitioned to CarTrawler in 2018, starting as a Finance Transformation Manager and later becoming the Head of Finance Transformation. In this role, they led transformation projects in areas such as competitive analytics, M&A, process performance enhancement, system implementation, and cost reduction. Laura also served as the Head of Strategic Finance, where they designed and implemented financial and commercial initiatives to support operational decision-making and the company's overall strategy. As Director (Operations) - Partnerships, Laura was responsible for building and managing partner relationships to achieve successful commercial outcomes for CarTrawler and its travel partners.
