Nial Grimes

Nial Grimes is an experienced professional in strategy and innovation, currently serving as the Head of Strategy & Innovation at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since September 2013, with additional interim roles including Head of Business Information Services, Head of Architecture, and Head of Infrastructure. Grimes also contributes as a Trustee for Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative since May 2022. Previous experience includes a decade at Carmarthenshire County Council as an IT Consultant, where Nial managed the deployment of technical solutions to enhance server infrastructure, as well as a Systems Manager at Ysgol Tre-Gib. Earlier freelance contributions to various technology magazines, along with an educational background in Information Technology & Computing from The Open University, highlight a strong foundation in both technical and strategic aspects of IT.
