Laura Tarkka

Laura Tarkka is an accomplished business leader currently serving as Managing Director at Scandic Hotels since August 2023. With extensive board experience, Tarkka is a member of the Board of Directors for Fazer, Caruna, and previously UKKO.fi, as well as serving on boards for Lassila & Tikanoja and Docrates Cancer Center. Tarkka held the role of CEO at Gigantti Oy, Finland’s largest electronics and home appliances retailer, from December 2020 to May 2023. Additional leadership roles include CEO at Kämp Collection Hotels and Deputy CEO/CFO at Kämp Group. Tarkka has a strong educational background, including studies at Yale University, Hanken School of Economics, and LUT University, along with certification as a yoga teacher.
