Andrew R. Menard

Mr. Menard represented the Company in legal matters from 1996 until 1997. He was elected a Director and Vice President in January 1998 and served as Secretary from January 1998 to March 1999 and as Assistant Secretary since that date.

Mr. Menard practiced corporate law for 12 years, most recently with Peabody & Arnold in Boston, Massachusetts. His practice focused on the structure and strategy of new healthcare and technology businesses and on the formation of ventures organized around particular technologies or ideas. In connection with this work, he has represented academic research hospitals and universities (including Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Brown University); biotechnology, medical technology and software, and other healthcare companies; and individual inventors.

In 1997, Mr. Menard established his own consulting firm (Menard and Associates), which specializes in strategic planning and business development. In addition to serving as an officer and director of the Company, he is a director of BioTargeting Technology LLC. (a drug delivery technology company). He serves as a consultant for several companies, principally in drug development and related industries. Since 2003, he has also served as Director of Business Development (part time) for the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Mr. Menard received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. He studied economics at Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service, where he received a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and was the recipient of the William Notz Medal for Economics.
