Leilani Milagros Lotti Diaz

Leilani Milagros Lotti Diaz has a diverse range of work experience in the field of chemistry and biochemistry. Leilani Milagros began their career as an undergraduate researcher at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, where they focused on computational modeling and efficiency study of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. Leilani Milagros also conducted research on the total synthesis of novel lipids with antifungal, antimalarial, and cytotoxic properties.

Leilani then worked as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Oregon, where they participated in a research experience for undergraduates program. Leilani Milagros'sresearch involved the synthesis of modified Hamilton receptors and chiral barbiturates for chirality transfer in host-guest complexes.

Next, Leilani joined the Ohio State University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry as a graduate student researcher. Leilani Milagros'swork focused on the synthesis and screening of proteasome inhibitors for cancer treatment, specifically for multiple myeloma. Leilani Milagros also served as a teaching assistant for chemistry courses during their time at Ohio State.

Leilani has also gained experience in tutoring and teaching. Leilani Milagros worked as a statistics tutor at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, where they developed innovative methods to help students understand statistics material. Leilani Milagros also served as a chemistry tutor and biology tutor, planning group reviews and practice worksheets for students.

Most recently, Leilani has been working as an information scientist at CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service). Leilani Milagros'srole involves analyzing data from scientific journals and patents to index organic structures in the world's largest chemistry database. Leilani Milagros is responsible for adding new information for customer access and auditing work from overseas partners.

Leilani Milagros Lotti Diaz completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organic Chemistry at The Ohio State University.
