Established in 1978, Casa de Amparo (Home of Protection) is recognized as a leader in treating and preventing child abuse and neglect in San Diego County and beyond, with locations in Oceanside and San Marcos. The non–profit organization annually serves over 1,000 Casa Kids, from prenatal to 25 years old, as well as 950 families, through integrated trauma-informed programs that promote healing, growth, and healthy relationships. These programs include Residential Services, Counseling Services, Family Visitation, New Directions, and Young Parent Network.

The Healthcare and Social Services team at Casa de Amparo provides comprehensive medical, dental, psychological, and social support to children and families affected by abuse and neglect. They coordinate intake and residential services, oversee transitional housing programs, and offer therapeutic counseling to promote healing and healthy development. Collaborating with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, they ensure a secure and supportive environment for all Casa Kids and their families.
