Katya Hernandez

Community Access Information and Health Promotion Specialist Katya Hernandez works with CASA’s Health and Human Service Department. She considers serving the immigrant community a personal accomplishment. Working for an immigrant organization has helped her to establish a personal and deep connection with community members in need of social and health resources. Her position as a community health specialist connects community members to community clinics, food banks, and social resources. She believes that access to health insurance through the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid programs can ensure their community stays healthy and informed about their overall health.
