Stephanie Brown has a diverse work experience in the field of domestic and sexual violence intervention and prevention. Stephanie served as the CEO of Casa Myrna Vazquez, the largest domestic violence organization in Boston, providing survivors of violence with tools for recovery and economic stability. Stephanie also held roles on the Board of Directors and as a volunteer at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. Stephanie worked at the MA Department of Transitional Assistance as the Assistant Commissioner for Policy, Program and External Relations and later as the Director of Housing and Homeless Services. Prior to that, Stephanie was the Executive Director of Homes for Families and an Administrator for Domestic and Sexual Violence Intervention/Prevention Policy at the MA Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Stephanie also worked as a Policy Analyst at Jane Doe Inc.
Stephanie Brown attended the University of Florida from 1987 to 1992, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.

Casa Myrna is Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, resources, advocacy and information since 1977. We operate SafeLink, the statewide domestic violence hotline, and promote domestic and dating violence prevention through awareness and education. All of our supports are provided to survivors free of charge. We support ALL survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, language, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
