John Whitchurch

John Whitchurch has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John began their career in 1996 as a Petty Officer First Class in the US Navy, where they received training as an electrician and a nuclear operator. John served for six years on submarines.

After leaving the Navy, John worked at California Fruit and Tomato Kitchens from 2003 to 2005 as a Colleague, primarily in the Fruit Prep and Canning Departments.

In 2009, John joined Cascade Energy, Inc as a Project Engineer, responsible for conducting site visits to industrial facilities, performing system monitoring, and optimizing industrial systems through Excel-based modeling. John held this position until 2010.

From 2010 to 2012, John worked as an Energy Smart Industrial Partner at Cascade Energy, managing and delivering industrial energy efficiency programs for Bonneville Power Administration across multiple regions.

In 2012, they transitioned into the role of Energy Smart Industrial Partner Manager at Cascade Energy, overseeing program partner field staff for Bonneville Power Administration's regional industrial energy efficiency program.

Most recently, John served as a Program Manager for Cascade Energy's Industrial Systems Optimization Program, focusing on PG&E's energy efficiency needs for their food processors, manufacturing, and cold storage customers.

John Whitchurch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business from the University of Idaho, which they attended from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Jerome High School between 1992 and 1996. Additionally, in March 2013, John Whitchurch obtained the certification of Professional Engineer - Mechanical from the State of Washington.
