Jim Hlava

VP of Housing at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare

Jim Hlava is the Vice President of Housing for Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. as well as the President of Cascadia Housing, Inc. Jim graduated from Portland State University in 1985 with a Master of Social Work degree and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon.

He has worked at Cascadia for over 30 years, with the first 20 years focused on delivering, developing, and managing case management, employment, and housing programs. For the past 12 years, Jim’s focus has been on the property side of Cascadia’s housing portfolio, specifically, managing existing properties, developing new properties, and connecting the clients, the programs, and the properties in ways to support people and to improve the health and lives of those who live in the housing.

Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, along with Cascadia Housing Inc. (together: “Cascadia”) owns, leases, and manages specialty affordable housing units ranging from fully independent supportive housing with no requirements for utilizing mental health services, supportive housing programs whereby individuals live independently with services and supports through Cascadia, and licensed residential programs that provide enhanced services on a 24/7 basis.
