Kirstin Hervin is currently an associate at Cascadia Consulting Group. Previously, they worked as an administrative support assistant at Humboldt State University from September 2010 to November 2012, where they assisted in the implementation of the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS) developed by Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Eduction (AASHE). Kirstin also worked as a team member of the GridShare Project from October 2010 to January 2013, which was funded by two EPA P3 awards to pilot a micro-controller device for demand-side management of a micro-hydro isolated electrical grid in Bhutan. During their time with the GridShare Project, Kirstin specialized in development of culturally relevant education and marketing campaigns for project implementation. In May 2010, Kirstin received a grant from the International Research in Engineering Education.
Kirstin Hervin has a BPI Certification in Building Energy Analysis from the Building Professional Institute, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Environmental Systems - Energy Technology and Policy from Humboldt State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Texas Tech University.
