Shannon Saam

Shannon Donegan leads Cascadia’s recycling and materials management work with corporate clients. She is equally comfortable diving into dumpsters to discover their contents, analyzing spreadsheets to create compelling data visualizations, and presenting effective sustainability strategies and plans to corporate management teams. Her clients include several Fortune 500 corporations, including VF Corporation, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s, as well as multinational corporations in the apparel, retail, grant-making, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Shannon has also developed numerous analytical tools to measure waste diversion, water conservation, energy efficiency, and overall sustainability for businesses, organizations, and governments around the country. Her tools, including Cascadia’s EcoDiversion Calculator, the CalRecycle Commercial Climate Calculator, and the Seattle Climate Partnership Carbon Footprint Calculator, allow clients to evaluate a range of environmental issues and compare the costs and benefits of selected options. Shannon graduated from Middlebury College summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Economics.
