Cal Frye

Cal Frye is an experienced professional in cybersecurity and compliance, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Cybersecurity, Risk and Compliance at Case Western Reserve University since January 2017. With a strong background in information assurance, Frye has previously held roles as a Research Computing Facilitator and Information Assurance Analyst, focusing on the protection of sensitive data and the development of security measures. Additionally, Frye has been an endorsed Humanist Celebrant for the Humanist Society since November 2013, performing various life event ceremonies. Prior experience includes positions as a Network Administrator at Oberlin College and System Support Coordinator at Western Reserve Academy, along with a background in education as a Science Instructor at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Frye's education includes ongoing studies in Compliance and Risk Management at Case Western Reserve University and advanced degrees in Geology and Education from Kent State University and The University of Akron.
