Daniel Verrico is a dedicated researcher with a strong background in macromolecular science and engineering. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University since June 2019, Daniel has collaborated with the US Veteran’s Affairs hospital to design multi-layer absorptive materials aimed at preventing wound infections in prosthetic liners. Previous experience includes a summer internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where Daniel developed hydrogel microfibers for biocatalytic applications, as well as various roles at Rochester Institute of Technology, focusing on polymer chemistry and organic chemistry education. Daniel holds a PhD in Macromolecular Science & Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a BS in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology.
