Jose Diaz, PhD, is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as the Retired Associate Director for Academic and Public Engagement Services at Kelvin Smith Library, Case Western Reserve University, a position held since August 2018, Diaz previously spent nearly three decades at The Ohio State University, where roles included Professor, Associate Professor, and Head of Area & International Studies. Additionally, Diaz held an Assistant Professor position at the University of New Mexico from August 1991 to October 1992. Academically, Diaz earned a Doctor of Philosophy in American History from The Ohio State University and holds two Master's Degrees in Latin American Studies and Library and Information Science from Indiana University Bloomington.
