Melissa Russell Norman has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Melissa is currently working as the Director of Human Resources Operations at Casella Waste Systems, Inc., where they focus on developing programs and practices related to compensation, benefits, performance management, and talent development. Prior to this, Melissa served as the Director of Human Resources at Midway Oil Corporation & Donuts of Rutland, where they developed and implemented various people-related services, policies, and programs. Melissa also held the position of Director Total Rewards at King Arthur Baking Company, where they established compensation and benefits strategies and implemented cost-effective HR solutions. Melissa has also worked as a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner at Green Mountain Power and as a Senior Human Resources Consultant at Central Vermont Public Service, where they developed and implemented targeted programs to enhance employee recruitment, engagement, and performance. Melissa began their career at National Life Group, where they held multiple roles, including Sr. Human Resources Generalist, Compensation Analyst, and Employment Specialist.

Melissa Russell Norman completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Services/Psychology from Norwich University between 1985 and 1989. Prior to that, they attended Marshfield High School from 1981 to 1985, where they received a Diploma with a focus on College Prep.
