Chris Blockley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Chris began their career at Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service in 2008, where they served as a Director. In the same year, they also became the Chairman of the Lifeguard Advisory Committee at Surf Life Saving New Zealand.

In 2012, Chris joined Casella Family Brands as the National Business Manager. Through their work, Chris played a key role in positioning the company as a highly successful wine producer and expanding their portfolio with iconic wine brands. Chris later served as the National Sales Manager, responsible for the success of globally recognized wine range, [yellow tail]. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Sales at Casella Family Brands.

Chris Blockley also has experience in the education sector, having worked as a Member of Research & Higher Degrees Committee (RHDC) at the Australian Institute of Business from 2017 to 2019.

Chris Blockley has an extensive education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. Chris obtained a Doctorate degree in Business, specializing in Organisational Design & Change Management, from the Australian Institute of Business. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in Marketing Management from the same institute. Additionally, they hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing & Management from Massey University.

In addition to their degrees, Chris Blockley has also obtained several certifications. Chris is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Chris has also completed the TAFE A+ Australian Wine Level 2 certification offered by TAFE, as well as the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits provided by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
