Justine Tribou, LCSW, has worked at the intersection of social work and court services for CASES since 2012. A native New Yorker, Ms. Tribou earned a BA in criminology and psychology from Stonehill College and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. After graduating, Ms. Tribou joined CASES, where she was the first social worker to work in the Manhattan Criminal Courts arraignment program during nights and weekends. In this role, Ms. Tribou has advocated for thousands of clients’ entry into CASES’ programming. Additionally, she has trained numerous CASES, and court representatives, to respectfully address the court for clients to be diverted to the newSTART and Supervised Release programs, among others. As a key frontline CASES team member responding to the increased number of individuals now eligible for pretrial services following New York’s implementation of bail reform, Ms. Tribou now serves as the Senior Director of Court Services to ensure all clients are connected to the clinical and community services, they need across NYC courtrooms for CASES.
