Shang Gao

Shang Gao has been working in the field of Machine Learning since 2012. Shang began their career as a Technical Writer at Noble Systems. In 2016, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia. From 2017 to 2022, they held the roles of Research Scientist, Deep Learning Postdoctoral Researcher, and Deep Learning PhD Student at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Shang is currently a Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Casetext.

Shang Gao obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University between 2005 and 2009. Shang then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Data Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which they completed in 2021.
