Lucas Gerber

Lucas Gerber has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2022. Lucas is currently working as the Director of Research Services at Casey Family Programs, where they focus on reducing the need for foster care and building communities of hope for children and families in the United States. Prior to this role, Lucas founded Rahum in 2019, a company dedicated to developing open-source data tools for small nonprofits to promote healthy and equitable communities. Lucas also worked as the Senior Director of Strategy & Research-Evaluation-Learning at Children's Health Fund, where they provided strategic direction and managed research and evaluation activities. At Action Research Partners, Lucas held multiple roles, including Director of Data Analytics, Research Associate, Research Analyst, and Research Assistant. During their time there, they contributed to successful system reform efforts and led a landmark study on providing effective legal defense in child welfare court cases. Lucas also gained experience as a Policy Research Intern at FPWA, where they conducted background research and advocacy for after-school programs. Lucas Gerber pursued their education at New York University, starting with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology, with Honors, and Creative Writing - Poetry as their field of study.
