Marty McOmber has a diverse work experience in the communications and media industry. Marty began their career as a Staff Reporter at The Patriot Ledger from 1993 to 1997. Marty then joined The Seattle Times as a Staff Reporter from 1997 to 2004. Marty served as a Senior Communications & Policy Advisor in the Seattle Mayor's Office from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they became the Managing Director of Communications at Casey Family Programs, leading a team of strategic communications professionals to advance the foundation's mission. Marty's expertise in communications and policy spans over two decades.

Marty McOmber pursued a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Washington between 1988 and 1991. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Southern California, where they obtained a Master's degree in Journalism from 1991 to 1993.
