Casey Family Programs
Savannah Licano is an experienced professional in education and advocacy, currently serving as an Education Liaison at Casey Family Programs and a Research Assistant at Seattle Public Schools since March 2022. Prior roles include Education Specialist at Treehouse, Student Advocate at City Year Los Angeles, and Foster Youth Advocate at California Youth Connection, where Savannah raised awareness of challenges faced by foster youth in education during the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborated with community partners to propose policy solutions. Savannah gained early experience as an intern at the U.S. House of Representatives. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Education Policy from the University of Washington, along with degrees in Anthropology and Political Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an Associate of Arts in Anthropology from Cerritos College.
