Rui Zhang

Rui Zhang's work experience includes serving as Vice President at CASI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since 2019. In this role, Rui is a key member of the executive committee, provides strategic guidance to the CEO and senior leaders, and manages the BD&L transaction team. Rui's previous experience includes being a Partner and Venture Partner at Emerging Technology Partners/ETP LP, where they led investments in biotech, pharmaceutical, and IVD companies. They also assisted in the listing of Genetron Health on Nasdaq and helped establish strategic partnerships for portfolio companies. Prior to that, Rui worked as an VP/Director at New Enterprise Capital, obtained an MBA from Columbia Business School, and served as a Research Scientist at Novartis. Rui's educational background includes being a Ph.D. student with a research fellowship from the National Institute of Health (NIH) at The State University of New York.

Rui Zhang holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Jilin University. Currently, Rui is pursuing a Ph.D. in New York State of Health - Research Fellowship at the University at Albany, SUNY. Additionally, Rui has studied at Columbia Business School, where they completed an MBA with a focus on Finance and Healthcare Management.
