Scott J. Brown

Scott J. Brown is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. He has a broad civil litigation practice, including in the areas of professional liability, commercial litigation, product liability and employment law. Scott has successfully defended attorneys, accountants and engineers in both general liability and professional malpractice claims.

He also has extensive experience representing private security companies, alarm businesses and fire sprinkler contractors in lawsuits alleging negligence, breach of contract and intentional torts. Scott has trial experience in both federal and state courts, including appellate practice, although many of the matters he handles are resolved by summary judgment or dismissal for his clients prior to trial.

Scott is a member of numerous bar associations and other professional societies. He has and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of several educational and other not-for profit organizations. Scott conducts seminars and presentations on a variety of litigation and risk reduction topics, including educational mock trials and mediations.
