Vijay Simha

Vijay Simha has a diverse work experience starting from 1993 when they worked at Caterpillar India Ltd. as a Marketing manager. Vijay successfully managed business development and marketing of Caterpillar Diesel Engines spares and increased sales from $0.5 million to $10 million.

Vijay then worked at SUNY, Buffalo as a Research Assistant from 1999 to 2000.

From 2001 to 2005, they worked at Oracle as a Lead Design Engineer, responsible for developing and delivering Fusion middleware components. Vijay later became a Senior Manager - Engineering, where they managed a team of 15 and was involved in product releases, people management, and offshore governance.

Starting in 2010, they worked at Salesforce.com as an IT leader in the Financial and HR Services group. Vijay managed software solution delivery and focused on product design and development, technology leadership, and organizational and product strategy.

In 2012, they became an investor and advisor for startups.

Since 2013, they have been the Head of India Operations at Castlight Health, Inc., where they established the company's presence in India and formulated a strategy to rapidly scale up the company to over 150 employees within 12 months.

Vijay Simha earned a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they obtained an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University at Buffalo between 1999 and 2000. Vijay completed their undergraduate studies at Bangalore University from 1993 to 1997, earning a B.E in Mechanical Engineering.
