Lee Essen

Lee Essen is an accomplished IT executive with extensive experience in technology transformation and infrastructure management. Currently serving as the Technology Transformation Director at Catalina Re since August 2023, Lee previously held key roles such as Director of Information Technology & Security and Head of IT Infrastructure at Quilter from September 2017 to June 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Head of Infrastructure (Deputy) at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority from August 2012 to August 2017, where strategic leadership and mentoring were pivotal in local development initiatives. Lee's early career featured significant contributions at Deutsche Bank as the Global Head of Infrastructure Engineering, overseeing a vast array of datacentre operations and a substantial budget. Previous roles also include Unix Engineer positions across major financial institutions, demonstrating a longstanding expertise in IT infrastructure and engineering. Lee is an alumnus of Bournemouth University and Poole Grammar School.
