David is a senior surgical resident physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital and is a postdoctoral fellow at the Shock Trauma Hemorrhage and Resuscitation lab. His research interest is in hemorrhage control and vascular surgery with mostly large animals, and a focus on medical device design and validation. His clinical research interest is in using big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and outcome science to improve the care of surgical patients.
David has a Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, as well as master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from UMBC. David has published over 50 research articles and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
