Mariona Serra-Pagès

Mariona Serra-Pagès has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Mariona is currently serving as the Director at GoodGut since September 2021 and has been with the company since February 2014, previously holding the position of Co-founder and CEO. In addition, Mariona is the Vice President at CataloniaBio & HealthTech since February 2022. Mariona has also served as an Executive Board Member at Cambra de Comerç de Girona since June 2019 and as a Board of Directors Member at AENTEG (Associació d'empreses de noves tecnologies de Girona) since June 2017. Mariona has been a Board of Trustees Member at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since June 2016 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Fundació Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Girona (IDIBGI) from August 2012 to January 2014. Additionally, they have worked as a Researcher at the Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology Dept. at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from February 2012 to August 2012 and as a PhD Student-Guest researcher at the National Institutes of Health from September 2010 to September 2011. Mariona began their academic journey as a PhD Student at the Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology Dept. at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2009.

Mariona Serra-Pagès has an extensive education history. Mariona pursued their education at various institutions and acquired degrees in different fields of study. In 2002, they enrolled at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and completed their Veterinary Medicine degree in 2007. Mariona furthered their education at the same university, obtaining an Immunology MSc in 2008. Continuing their academic journey, they pursued a Pharmacology PhD from 2009 to 2012 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2012, they participated in the U2B: From University to Business/Entrepreneurship/Project Management Postgraduate course at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Mariona then attended the Bioemprenedor XXI program in 2013. Later, they attended IESE Business School in 2015 and 2016 to complete the PDD-Programa de Desarrollo Directivo. Mariona'smost recent educational endeavor was an Executive Education Program at Esade in 2020 and 2021.
