Cynthia Echave is an experienced academic and researcher specializing in urban ecology and sustainability. Currently serving as a project coordinator and senior researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association, Cynthia's work focuses on sustainability, territorial resilience, and green transition. As an associated professor at Escola d'Arquitectura La Salle - Universitat Ramon Llull, Cynthia teaches courses on Urban Ecology Strategic Analysis and Public Space Design. Previous roles include coordinator of the Urbanism and Public Space unit at the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona, where Cynthia led projects on the Superblocks urban model and collaborated with various city councils. Cynthia holds a PhD in Architecture, Environment, and Sustainability from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, alongside further education in leadership and management from EADA Business School and a degree in Architecture from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
