Julia Weigandt

Julia Weigandt has a diverse work experience. Julia started their career in 2012 as a student at the University of Dundee. In 2014, they became a Class Representative for Biological Sciences Level 3 2014/2015 and a Student/Class Representative for Biological Sciences. Additionally, they were part of the Life Sciences Careers Conference 2015 Committee. In 2015, they completed an Industrial Placement Student - Structure and Biophysics at AstraZeneca. During this placement, they received training in the application of biophysical tools for fragment-based/small molecule drug discovery. From 2017-2021, they worked at AstraZeneca as a Senior Scientist Immunotoxicology, IMED Graduate Scientist - Advanced Drug Delivery and IMED Graduate Scientist - Structure, Biophysics and Fragment Based Lead Generation. In 2021, they began working as an Assoc. Scientist at CatalYm GmbH.

Julia Weigandt received their BSc(Hons) in Drug Discovery and Biological Chemistry from the University of Dundee in 2017. Prior to that, they attended Ludwigsgymnasium Straubing from 2001 to 2010, where they earned their Abitur with majors in Chemistry and Latin.
