Dahyun Son

Dahyun (Day) Son is a seasoned professional in educational policy and advocacy, currently serving as the Senior Manager of K-12 Policy and previously as the Manager of Educational Equity at Catalyst California since July 2021. Prior experience includes various roles at Educators for Excellence from August 2017 to July 2021, such as Advocacy Associate and Outreach Director, where leadership in education-related efforts was demonstrated. Dahyun's career started as a Mathematics Teacher at PUC Schools from August 2014 to June 2017 and included analytical roles at Mercer and JPMorgan Chase in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Dahyun holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California and a Master of Education in Urban Education and Leadership from Loyola Marymount University, alongside dual bachelor's degrees in Liberal Arts and Corporate Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and the Texas McCombs School of Business.
