Jobin Thomas

Jobin Thomas is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as a Senior Planning Engineer at Catalyst Metals since August 2025. Prior to this role, Jobin held various positions at GOLD FIELDS from October 2022 to August 2025, including Senior Production Engineer. Jobin's career began at Evolution Mining as a Student Engineer in October 2016 and progressed through roles at Sandfire Resources, where responsibilities included Mine Planning Engineer and Mine Production Engineer, from November 2017 to September 2022. Jobin also gained early experience as a Safety Engineer at Patels Airtemp (India) Limited in late 2015. Academically, Jobin holds a Master of Engineering in Mining from the Western Australian School of Mines (2016-2017) and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering in Kerala, India (2010-2014). Additionally, foundational education was completed at Marian Senior Secondary School in India, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Science.
