Erika Lynn Whitehead

Erika Lynn Whitehead, MAT, serves as the Assistant Principal at Catalyst Schools since March 2021 and has been the Director of Instruction at The Catalyst Schools since August 2015. Erika played a crucial role in achieving Level 1 status with Chicago Public Schools, enhancing teacher effectiveness, and improving student academic performance through the coordination of professional development and instructional coaching. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Learning Officer at King's Academy, where strategic planning for school improvement was spearheaded, and as Assistant Director at Young Women's Leadership Charter School of Chicago, contributing to improved academic standings and maintaining a 100% high school graduation rate. Erika holds a Doctor of Education from Concordia University Chicago, a Master's from National Louis University, and a Bachelor's from Hampton University.
