Stephanie Calmeyn

Senior Vice President, Capacity Manager at Catalytic Risk Managers, a DUAL company

Stephanie Calmeyn has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on catastrophe risk management. Stephanie started their career at Walt Disney World as a Merchandising Assistant in 1999, before moving on to American Adventure Expeditions as a Customer Relations employee. In 2001, they joined ICAT as an Underwriting Services Manager, where they provided support to the underwriting staff. Stephanie then took on the role of Underwriter, managing commercial property risks in earthquake and flood exposed regions and marketing the earthquake product to producers. In 2007, Stephanie became a Product Analyst at ICAT, managing aggregates and underwriting guidelines for commercial risk in hurricane-exposed regions. Stephanie also played a key role in creating and implementing business plans to achieve production goals. In 2008, Stephanie transitioned to the role of Product Analyst for ICAT's Commercial Earthquake Product, where they managed underwriting results, budgets, and business plans. Stephanie joined Catalytic Risk Managers & Insurance Agency, LLC in 2011 as an Assistant Vice President, Senior Product Manager. In this role, Stephanie analyzed and managed portfolio capacity, underwrote commercial and high-value dwellings exposed to earthquake and flood risk, and provided reporting summaries. Stephanie was promoted to Vice President, Portfolio Manager in 2015, where they qualified and underwrote commercial and high-value dwelling catastrophe-exposed risks for earthquake and flood coverage. Stephanie then served as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager-Earthquake from 2016 to 2019 before becoming the current Senior Vice President, Capacity Manager at Catalytic Risk Managers & Insurance Agency, LLC.

Stephanie Calmeyn pursued their education starting in 1997 at the University of Southern Colorado. Stephanie completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations in 2001. Later, in 2005, they attended the University of Northern Colorado, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching in 2006.
