Kim Severance

Director Revenue Cycle at Catawba Valley Health System

Kim Severance has a strong background in revenue cycle management. Kim began their career as a Senior Auditor at Wellpoint/National Government Services in 2002 and later worked as a Financial Analyst at St. Peter's Hospital from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Glens Falls Hospital as a Revenue Cycle Business Analyst and worked their way up to become the Director of Revenue Cycle from 2012 to 2014. Kim's most recent position was at Caldwell/Pardee UNC Health Care, where they served as the Executive Director of Revenue Cycle from 2014 to 2020. In this role, they successfully implemented various strategies to improve financial performance, such as reducing accounts receivable days and increasing denial resolution. Currently, Kim is the Director of Revenue Cycle at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

Kim Severance earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University at Albany, SUNY in 2002. Kim later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from The Sage Colleges-Sage Graduate School, completing their degree in 2008.
