Thad van Haitsma

Thad Van Haitsma has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Thad most recently worked at Catawba Valley Health System as the Director of Strategy & Analytics, where they contributed to strategic planning and analysis. Prior to that, they held a Senior Analyst role at the same organization.

Before joining Catawba Valley Health System, Thad worked at Spectrum Health in various capacities. Thad held positions such as Manager of Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence, Supervisor of Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence, and Lead Market Consultant in the Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence department. Thad also worked as a Strategic Market Analyst III, Strategic Market Analyst II, and Strategic Market Analyst I in the same department.

Thad gained early experience with Neighborhood Ventures as a Research Intern and later served as a Graduate Assistant at Grand Valley State University with the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center. Thad also worked as a Food Systems Intern at West Michigan Environmental Action Council.

Thad's earliest work experience includes being an Executive Director and Program Coordinator at Kent Area MicroBusiness Loan Services, where they managed operations and assisted clients in obtaining small business loans. Thad also worked as a Book & Music Seller at Schuler Books and owned Thad's Lawn Service, a successful lawn maintenance business.

Throughout their career, Thad has demonstrated expertise in strategy, analytics, market intelligence, research, and small business development.

Thad Van Haitsma earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Social Sciences Group with an emphasis in Business & Sociology from Calvin University in 2000. Thad later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Grand Valley State University from 2005 to 2007.
