Kazem Malek-Afzali

Kazem Malek-Afzali is a Process Engineering Manager at Catch Engineering since June 2023, where they are involved in various projects related to renewable energy, industrial carbon capture, biogas production, compressor or pump stations, storage facilities, and brownfield design modification. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Process Engineer at Trilogy Projects Ltd. from April 2022 to June 2023, and a Lead Process Engineer at Wood from January 2011 to April 2022. Kazem also served as a Sr. Process Engineer at Acero Engineering from January 2010 to January 2011, and at WorleyParsons from January 2008 to February 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Process Engineer at Millenia Engineering from November 2006 to January 2008, a Project/Process Engineer at OIEC Group from 2001 to 2006, and a Process Engineer at IRITEC from 1997 to 2001.

Kazem Malek-Afzali received their bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 1989. In 2008, they obtained a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
