Amanda Thynell

Amanda Thynell's work experience begins in 2011 as a Researcher for Sida. In 2012, they worked as a Sales Advisor for IKEA Group and also served as a Team Manager and Consultant for HHGS HandelsMarketing AB. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor's Thesis during their time at IKEA. From 2013 to 2016, Amanda worked at Nudie Jeans, starting as a Sales Advisor and rising to the position of Store Manager. During this time, they led the opening of their first store in Oslo and developed their internal environmental management system. Amanda then served as Head of Purchase at Boulebar Sverige AB from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they became a Retail Store Manager at HOPE Stockholm, where they focused on managing the store, training and developing the team, and optimizing sales. Following that, they worked as a Consultant at Amendo from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they completed their Master's Thesis with Volvo Cars and took on the role of Sustainability Controller at Catena AB. In 2022, they assumed the position of Chief Sustainability Officer at Catena AB.

Amanda Thynell completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Management at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental Management and Sustainable Management, also from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. During their undergraduate studies, they had an exchange semester at Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2012. Before attending the University of Gothenburg, they studied textile science, management, and production at the University of Borås from 2009 to 2010. Amanda completed their secondary education at Sigrid Rudebecks Gymnasium, where they focused on social science from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Amanda has obtained several certifications, including CSRD – så hållbarhetsredovisar du enligt nya EU-lagen from Aktuell Hållbarhet Utbildning in November 2022, GRI Certified Training 2021 from Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in October 2022, and ESG-analys och strategi – att förstå, hantera och integrera ESG from Aktuell Hållbarhet in January 2022.
