Andrew Lau

Andrew Lau is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in biochemical research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Catena Biosciences since June 2023, Andrew previously held the same title at Impossible Foods, where innovative technologies were explored for improving leghemoglobin product quality and facilitating scale-up processes. Andrew's career began with significant contributions at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, focusing on genetic modifications for bioproduct production and achieving co-authorship in journal publications. Early research experience included developing commercial yeast strains at Berkeley Yeast and assisting in various projects at the University of California, Berkeley.
