Spencer Davis

Spencer Davis is a Senior Autonomy Software Engineer at Caterpillar Inc., specializing in the development of perception and planning software for autonomous trucks within the Command for Hauling division since January 2021. Previously, Spencer held roles as an Autonomy Software Engineer focused on core planning and core perception, contributing to software development and field testing for autonomous construction and mining machines. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at The University of Alabama, where Spencer developed embedded software, deep learning models, perception systems, and machine learning infrastructure while conducting and publishing research. Spencer Davis is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at North Carolina State University, following a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from The University of Alabama.
