Michael Yu

Michael Yu has extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as the Deputy Flying Training Manager at Cathay Pacific since September 2001, where responsibilities include roles as Senior Training Captain and TRE/IRE B777 HKCAD Authorized Examiner. Previous positions at Cathay Pacific encompass Training Captain and Captain on the B747, as well as First Officer on multiple aircraft including the A330 and A340, and Second Officer on the B747. In addition to aviation, Michael Yu co-founded FirstCapital Advisers in June 2023 and established MYPFUND in January 2016. Michael Yu holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a focus on Risk Analysis from The University of British Columbia, earned between 1996 and 2000.
