Valerie Carter

Valerie Carter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Valerie currently serves as the Director of Growth Operations at CATHEXIS, a position they started in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at CALIBRE Systems, Inc. for four years, where they held the roles of DEI Council Co-chair and Senior Proposal Manager / PMO Lead. Valerie also worked at Michael Baker International as the Director of Capture and Proposals for two years and at Knowledge Consulting Group as a Proposal Development Manager for one year. Before transitioning into proposal management roles, Valerie worked at HP Enterprise Services as a Proposal Manager and Publishing Team Lead for three years. Additionally, they have legal experience, having worked as an Associate at McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC and as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Copyright Office and the American Psychological Association. Valerie holds a senior editor role at the American Psychological Association from 2004 to 2007.

Valerie Carter completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at Whitman College from 1998 to 2002. Valerie then pursued a Master of Professional Studies degree in Publishing at The George Washington University from 2006 to 2007. Finally, Valerie obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School from 2007 to 2010.
