Sharon Stephens

Sharon Stephens has a diverse range of work experience. Sharon most recently served as the Director of Education Services at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens since August 2020. Prior to that, they operated their own consulting firm, Sharon L Stephens Consulting, from July 2017 to December 2020, working as an Education Consultant. Sharon also held the position of School Principal at Public Preparatory Network from July 2016 to June 2017.

Sharon's earlier experience includes working in various roles within the NYC Department of Education. Sharon served as the Founding Principal of Madiba Prep Middle School from July 2012 to June 2016, where they designed and launched the school with a focus on STEME education. Sharon also served as a Project Director from January 2012 to June 2012. Prior to that, they worked as an Academic Intervention Specialist/Literacy Coach at Harlem Children's Zone from October 2010 to March 2012.

Sharon has also held positions within the NYC Department of Education as a Regents Coordinator/Teacher from October 2006 to September 2011, and as a Coordinator of Early Intervention Services/Coordinator of Special Education from September 2005 to October 2010. Additionally, they worked as a Contract Manager at the Fund for Public Health in NYC from January 2004 to May 2005 and as the Assistant Director of Development and Public Affairs at the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment from July 2001 to January 2004.

Sharon Stephens has a strong educational background in the field of education. Sharon then pursued further education at Long Island University from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Special Education and Teaching. In 2010, Sharon attended Teachers College, Columbia University, where they obtained a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership in 2011.
