Karen Schoch has extensive experience in human resources, starting in 2001 with Care New England as the Director of Organizational Development & Learning. Karen then moved on to Women and Infants Hospital as the Vice President of Human Resources from 2003 to 2006. Karen continued their career at Boston Children's Hospital as the Director of Workforce Development & Service Education from 2007 to 2014. Karen then joined RiverStone Resources LLC as the Vice President of Human Resources from 2014 to 2021. Most recently, they served as the Director of Organizational Development at Catholic Medical Center from 2021 to 2022. Karen's current position is as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Catholic Charities New Hampshire, starting in 2022.
Karen Schoch SHRM-SCP has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development from Lesley University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their BA in Psychology from Keene State College from 1985 to 1989.
In terms of additional certifications, Karen has acquired several qualifications. In 2020, they obtained certification in OSHA and NHDOL Health and Safety Regulations from the University of New Hampshire. In 2017, Karen earned the SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. Karen also completed the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator training in 2012, conducted by a Myers-Briggs Instructor. Additionally, in 2010, they obtained certification in Emotional Intelligence in Diversity from ANITA ROWE/LEE GARDENSWARTZ. While there is mention of two more certifications, for the Disney Institute Service Excellence and the Korn-Ferry Lominger Leadership Architect Suite, no specific dates or institutions are provided for these.
