Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto

CCAS is incorporated as a not-for-profit agency, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and whose core operations are funded by the Province of Ontario. As part of our mission, we strengthen families by providing them with services and supports to help children and youth remain in their own home. We provide mandated services under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA). In certain circumstances there may be a need to bring a child or youth into the care of the Society for their safety and wellbeing. We deliver child protection services that are guided by Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppressive Practice (ARAO); Catholic Faith and Identity, Evidence-Informed Practice (EIP) and Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP). These frameworks help guide the interventions and work we do with children, youth and families – ensuring that they are a vital part of the decision-making process.
