Alemayehu Gebremariam, PhD, currently serves as the Country Representative for Catholic Relief Services in the Republic of Congo, where leadership is provided to a team of 60 staff members and oversight is given to a growing annual portfolio exceeding $18 million. Past roles include Chief of Party for multiple USAID-funded programs aimed at improving health and nutrition outcomes for vulnerable populations in Rwanda and Ethiopia, as well as significant contributions to various health initiatives with organizations such as John Snow, Inc., Save the Children US, and Concern Worldwide. Alemayehu holds a PhD in Health Studies from the University of South Africa, a Master's in Public Health from the University of Gondar, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Addis Ababa University. This extensive experience encompasses managing large teams, strategic leadership in health programming, and the development of monitoring and evaluation systems for health initiatives across several African countries.
