Holleng Bwakat is a doctoral student in Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology at the University of Jos since October 2021. Concurrently, Holleng serves as the Deputy Chief of Party and Infrastructure Specialist for the USAID-funded Water for Agriculture Activity with Catholic Relief Services, focusing on sustainable water management to enhance agricultural productivity in North-East Nigeria. Since August 2014, Holleng has also worked with the DG European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office as a Programme Officer, providing technical support for humanitarian responses. Prior experience includes roles as WaSH Program Manager at Action Against Hunger, WASH Team Leader at Save the Children UK, Geologist at the Plateau Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, and State Program Assistant at WaterAid. Holleng holds a Master in Disaster Management from the University of Maiduguri and a Master of Science in Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology from the University of Jos.
