Patience Chidakwa

Patience Chidakwa is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in program management and women's empowerment initiatives. Currently serving as a Team Leader at Catholic Social Services of Alberta since November 2022, Patience previously held the role of National Programs Officer at the Apostolic Women Empowerment Trust, where program organization focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, and violence against women was emphasized. Patience's background includes a position as Project Manager with WILPF Zimbabwe, leading peace and security interventions, and experience as a District Program Officer at Lutheran Development Services, emphasizing beneficiary engagement and community relations. Earlier roles included providing counseling at Musasa and working collaboratively on sanitation and hygiene projects with Catholic Relief Services. An academic foundation in development studies includes an Advanced Master’s degree from KU Leuven and a Master’s degree from the National University of Science and Technology.
