Seungjae Seong

Seungjae Seong has a diverse work experience in the field of technical design and QA. Currently, Seong serves as the Director of Technical Design and QA at Cato Corporation, where they manage a team of 4 managers, 15 technical designers, 3 fit models, and freelance workers. They oversee multiple women's wear and junior wear brands, including petite and plus sizes, and are responsible for rebuilding outdated processes and systems. Seong also collaborates with the Hong Kong technical design team to streamline the sample approval process and trains technical designers in fit correction skills and garment construction knowledge. Prior to that, Seong worked at Amazon as a Sr. Technical Design Program Manager. They had also held positions such as Director of Technical Design at POONGIN TRADING CO., LTD., Sr. Sweater and Knit Technical Designer at JC Penney, and Sweater and Outerwear Technical Designer at Lane Bryant. They have extensive experience in managing teams and handling various aspects related to sample making and technical design.

Seungjae Seong studied Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, Seong studied Fashion design and Technique at Sheridan College from 1994 to 1995.
