Alan Davies

Alan Davies has over 25 years of work experience in various roles related to IT security. Their most recent position was as the Head of IT Security at Causaly. Prior to that, they worked at CLS Group for 12 years, where they held multiple positions including IT Security Risk & Cyber Resilience Lead, Senior IT Security Architect, and Associate Director, IT Security Officer. Alan also worked at GE Money Home Lending as a Security Analyst/Deputy LSO, at Tiscali UK as a Security and Abuse Officer, and at Video Networks Ltd. as a 3rd Line IT Analyst and Site Leader. Additionally, they have experience as an IT Support Analyst at Compass Group UK, a Desktop Support Engineer at Compaq Ireland, and a Contract Web Designer at CSA Oil & Gas.

Alan Davies attended Technological University Dublin from 1993 to 1996, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Wesley College, Dublin from 1987 to 1993, but the field of study is unknown. Additionally, Alan has obtained various certifications including a Master Cybersecurity Management from LinkedIn (expected year of completion 2023), a Yellow Belt in Six Sigma from LinkedIn (completed in 2022), a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from SANS Institute (obtained in February 2005), and a GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from SANS Institute (obtained in September 2001).
